Can't get any video on the sample player

Hi all,

I am trying to use your sample player, but I've already tested both 1.0 and 2.0b releases, without getting any image on the player. It opens the socket, joins the multicast group, and the TRACE goes all to the end. But then, I can't even see my buffer to fill, and it stops there, with the socket state "closed".

I've tried in Firefox 3 (the browser doesn't even open the .nsc and crashes) and IE7 (which has the process above described).

Any ideas about how to get this going? If I open the url in Windows Media Player it plays the multicast stream without problems.

Best regards,

João

Firefox 3 should work using the 2.0b1 code.  What codecs is your stream using?

I'm using WMS to stream a windows media video file, through multicast. I have been able now to make the player get the packets, but the video window is all black.

What codecs are being used for the video?  Is the audio playing?

The stream is VC-1 and it has no audio. So, my only problem is video.

Hi guys,

I have the exatly same scenario (with IE7 under Vista) - I can play the multicast stream in WMP and can't get any video with SamplePlayer. Any suggestions what is wrong?

Kind regards,
